A little bit more about Marilynn Dick. You recall from my January blog entry that she was Glenn Munn's girlfriend during his time spent in Santa Ana after his voluntary washout from Basic Flight School in Mesa Del Rey, King City, California.
Marilynn Dick [an only child, I assume] was born in Illinois on October 11, 1921. Her mother was Jessie C. Dick. Jessie and Marilynn lived in Santa Ana at 1305 S. Ross in 1942 when Glenn met her. They dated from about June, 1942 until his disappearance and death.

In 1924, Jessie was living at 429 Linwood, Santa Ana, with her husband Hon. L. Dick. In 1938 her occupation was "chain maker" [a person at a title company responsible for looking through deeds, mortgages, easements, or anything else that ever affected a parcel of property] with Security Title I&G Co located at the S. Ross address. Her occupation in 1942 was "title searcher" also located at the S. Ross address. In 1944, Jessie had moved to 1109 N. Broadway in Santa Ana and her occupation was "housewife" and had changed her voter registration from Democrat to Republican.

After Glenn's death, Marilynn Dick waited 18 years before marrying Marion Hodel, September 25, 1960, in Orange County, California. Marion Hodel was born in 1911 and died February 26, 1981 in Los Angeles. He worked as paymaster of purses at Hollywood racetrack for about 20 years. Marilynn Dick died June 5, 1974 in Los Angeles, California. There is no record of any children between Marilynn and Marion Hodel. There is no indication of why Marilynn, nearly 11 years her husband's junior, died seven years before him.

My thanks go out to Marge Carpenter who was able to find this information for me.
