| I'm very sad to announce the death on October 3rd of Richard Christian - cousin of William Gamber. Though we never had the opportunity to meet in person Dick and I did have two extended phone conversations where we discussed his cousin and the affect Bill Gamber had on his life. HERE is a biography of Dick prepared by his son, Rich. | |||||

| I got this message today [October 1] from the producers
of the National Geographic special who interviewed me in England during
July for their program covering Steve Fossett and the affect of bad
weather and the Sierra Nevada on airplane crashes. Just wanted to let you know that the programme has been completed and delivered to National Geographic – they are delighted with it as are we! I am afraid that until the programme has been transmitted we cannot send out a dvd of the programme to you. National Geographic are expecting to transmit the programme in the second quarter of next year – April to June. Many thanks for your contribution to the programme, we really could not have made it without your invaluable assistance, generosity and hospitality. With Best Wishes
