Read my article in Warbird Flyer about former carrier-based Navy pilot, Lt. Bob Jones. Bob flew the NAA FJ-4B fighter/attack airplane between 1958-1961 on the USS Ranger, USS Oriskany, and USS Lexington. "Our primary mission was nuclear weapons delivery," he told me, carrying both atomic and hydrogen tactical weapons from carriers based in the western Pacific Ocean. This was either around Japan, near Okinawa, or the south China Sea around Hong Kong and the Philippines.

On May 10, I appeared  at Wide World Books & Maps in Seattle to my hiking guidebook, Best Hikes Near Seattle [FalconPress, 2010]. There were 12 people in attendance on the first sunny late afternoon Seattle has seen in a couple of weeks. Four books were sold - a good showing in all regards! The guidebook is also available in a Kindle edition for those of you who are always on the go.
